spring!

After months of mud, snow and rain we suddenly entered the height of summer on Wednesday! With the acre bathed in sunlight it looked a totally different proposition than this time last week when we were still slipping around in the mud.

With the onset of better weather we also had new volunteers join our merry band and we achieved much in one day. We planted out all our our vegetables - beets, potatoes and beans. We finished our first raised flower bed and completed the weeding/seeding/planting around the entrance to the acre. İn addition we have almost finished our final vegetable strip so a very successful days work.

After all the months of grey and miserable weather it was lovely to be rewarded with such a glorious day and see the project full steam ahead.
