'Afternoons on the Acre'

‘Afternoons on the acre’ has been designed to allow small groups to enjoy free, private and safe use of space2grow on weekday afternoons during the summer. As we are unable to have large groups gathering on the acre we thought this is a nice way for people to see the garden in the height of summer. With a wild flower meadow, small maze, flower and vegetable beds and lawned areas space2grow offers a tranquil haven in which to relax, unwind and enjoy being surrounded by nature. These sessions are open to all so please do get in touch if you’d like to arrange a small group visit (limited to 6 people from different households or 8 from a maximum of 2 households)

To book an afternoon please email info@space2grow.space. When you book you must provide names of all attendees, with mobile contact phone numbers for everyone over the age of 16. (The details will be kept for 14 days and then deleted)

To allow the afternoons to be managed safely, access to all buildings on the site will be restricted except for the toilet which will be cleaned thoroughly before and after each session.

A BBQ is available for use. You will need to bring your own BBQ coals, lighter, utensils and a foil cooking tray to cook your items in on the BBQ rack. Outdoor tables and chairs are available for your use but please feel free to bring picnic blankets and find a shady spot under a tree or on the lawns. We have a strict no-alcohol policy and you will be asked to leave if you bring any alcohol to space2grow and we ask that you kindly take all of your items and rubbish away with you.

Please note: it is vitally important that if anyone attending develops suspected Covid-19 symptoms before your visit you should notify us and cancel your planned visit. If any visitors develop symptoms within 7 days after the visit you should notify the NHS test and trace service as soon as possible and advise us so that we can notify anyone who may have been affected.

If you have any questions about how the volunteering sessions work or require further information on the new "Afternoons on the Acre" please do not hesitate to email us and, as always, if you need help with shopping or picking up prescriptions please make contact via info@space2grow.space

Take care and we hope to see you on the acre soon!
