A new year! and a goodbye to 2024...

We had a number of milestones at the project in 2024...

  • Men in Sheds on the telly interviewed by the BBC about their Farnham Bug House!

  • A year of ‘space2play’ our new initiative for local families launched in September 2023

  • Plus two NEW programmes for local kids; ‘Young Carers’ and ‘Nurture Club’

And… a successful funding bid from the National Lottery to fund many of our activities. A huge thank you to the National Lottery Team!

And we love to reflect on the year with a few numbers; 

  • 109 space2play sessions

  • 97 men in shed mornings

  • 53 'wellbeing for teens' afternoons

  • 51 school visits from St Andrews, Potters Gate School and Highfields South Farnham

  • 44 garden volunteer mornings

  • 36 evening parenting sessions

  • 18 Free Family Holiday sessions 

  • 18 visits from local art groups Creative Response, FADEG and Draw Farnham

  • 15 'nuture' club sessions 

  • 4 young carers evenings

  • 4 Afternoon's on the acre hosted

  • 3 Community days  

  • 3 judging days for S&SEiB

  • 2 new trustees joined!

  • 2 camping visits from London Fields School  and Hale Community Centre

  • 2 visits from Beavers and Rainbows

  • 2 garden awards ceremonies attended, winning an 'outstanding', a 'silver gilt', a 'silver' and a 'certificate of excellence' awards!

  • 1 BIG Farnham bug House (thank you @Greenup Britain) 

  • 1 charity plantathon hosted  

  • 1 dance hosted on the acre 

  • 1 bonfire night 

  • 1 santa's grotto opened 

  • 1 BIG LUNCH

  • ....and 1 fox leaping.
