It’s been another action packed week as the Christmas activities start to pick up speed. Our wonderful Christmas tree is getting lots of praise in St Andrews Church. Our entry is particularly unique as the ‘tree’ itself is made from a branch of the felled cedar tree from the Farnham library gardens. One of the volunteers then created hoops from willow and ivy to create a cascading frame. Each volunteer involved with the project then decorated their own ‘bauble’ made from another piece of the tree. Finally it was decorated with additional veg, tea cups and tools - a true representation of the project - completely unique! The exhibition runs through the weekend and we thoroughly recommend a visit. The sight of over 100 trees is quite remarkable in that setting.
This Sunday sees us at Farnham's Christmas Fayre with a pitch outside Poundland. We'll be selling our renowned homemade cakes, Christmas door decorations, raffling a handmade and hand painted birdbox ( Men in Sheds), selling further birdboxes and bug hotels, taking commissions for benches... Do come and visit!
The acre itself has been busy with the Parenting Puzzle, Men in Sheds, Wednesday Gardening, The Cookery Club, The Thursday Gardening Club, Heart Maths and various visits including one from our friends at VASWS.
Finally, a big thank you to everyone who has put in such a great effort this week; the crew who carried the tree to the church, our expert tree decorators, those who made baubles and of course all those that have visited and donated/voted for the tree.
