We were pleased to welcome students from the University of Creative Arts (UCA) who are making a series of short films about space2grow as part of their coursework. This week they were filming our fantastic Cookery Club in action with Coral as they prepared scones for a tea time treat!
The first parenting course came to a close on Monday evening and although restrictions were in place and the course content was adapted to keep everyone safe, the feedback from those who attended showed it had been incredibly worthwhile
Natalie's Friday session had a challenging task of tackling the large leylandii that runs next to the path. It had become very overgrown and it needed a good prune to bring it within ‘arms length’ and hopefully more manageable for future trimmings.
Monday saw the first 'Walks & Talks' take place led by Thursday Gardening Group's Dave Merrick. On completion the group had walked 6.7miles, up an undulating elevation of 232 metres.
The garden looks significantly different as we have strimmed down the majority of the wildflower meadow this week. It's always with a tinge of sadness when we do this but it's an essential part of the cycle to ensure that next year it springs up and looks glorious again.
Parenting Courses returned to the acre on Monday Evening. The course got off to a great start, many families finding comfort and support, sharing the stresses and strains of daily family life - especially after the last six months.
